The Sanctuary

By Ricci Wilson : Aug 27, 2009

Dear friends,

The Lord has provided a new location for our Revival Services! We, and many of you, prayed for weeks before our contract was up with The City Church, patiently awaiting His direction. Now, after an exhaustive search and much prayer, He led us to the perfect location.  It, too, is a building hit hard by Katrina, but in the midst of the storm, we found that the Lord was preparing us a place for His glory.

We often asked ourselves why the Lord chose a place hit so hard by Katrina to bring forth His glory from. With the cost of remediation work from such unbelievable destruction, why did He choose New Orleans? With a city so entrenched in sin, why did He choose New Orleans as a place for His glory to rest?

The Lord has promised that "A New Song will come forth from New Orleans".  A city that has been known for sin will become known for His redeeming power. I had a vision of the Lord standing over New Orleans, keeping her covered, His glory resting over her and waiting for the moment to be unleashed throughout the city. Just like Mary Magdalene, she will never forget the saving mercy of her Savior. And, what a merciful God we serve to come and bring His glory to a sin-ravaged land and show the power of His love and mercy first to those who have been cast aside, and then to the nation.

Last year, the Lord promised us that His glory would fall, not only on us, which it has been in ever increasing measure since we first came to New Orleans, but that it would explode into city, and from there, on to the Nation. We have not forgotten this promise, a promise not only for us - a fulfillment of nine years of preparation through the Gatherings, but a promise for this nation! Before war comes, before persecution comes, before judgment comes, the Lord will come in His glory and sweep across our nation with His saving grace! Friends, this is what we are fighting for!!!

In our search, the Lord led us to this building and like every building in New Orleans, it needs renovation work in order to be inhabitable. However, when we first looked at this building, the glory of the Lord came down so powerfully those present were overwhelmed by His power. The Lord commanded us to prepare a place for His glory, to prepare a Sanctuary for Him. Thus, the name, "The Sanctuary".

This building will require approximately $90,000 - $160,000 of work to prepare it for His glory, but when it is completed, He will come and His glory will fall.  We know without a doubt that this is His choice, this is His perfect will, this shall be His Sanctuary.

The crew has begun its work, please pray about contributing. You will be contributing not just to restoring a building left ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, but you will be sowing seeds into the Kingdom of God - the fruit of which is eternal.

Blessings in Him, Ricci

I've attached pictures below for you to see the progress our wonderful crew is making. We have to pull down the sheet rock and remove all of the insulation due to the molds. New ceiling, sheet rock, paint, flooring and electrical work is all a part of the process...keep checking back to see the progress the team is making.
